Finally..! It took me weeks to finish this picture, not really because it was actually difficult to color, but because I kept getting interrupted >_<.
Although coloring was pretty troublesome, too :D.

Anyway, Ed's a cutie, isn't he..? When I was coloring this picture, the quote from Emily Ravenwood's fanfic got stuck in my head... "No lover of his will ever be able to keep their fingers out of that hair." The quote had probably brainwashed me, because I just couldn't help adding more and more details to Ed's braid... I think it took me at least two hours to color just his hair ^^'.

Ekhm, and the coat... :D

But enough of my babbling, let's get straight *cough* to business :D.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Edward Elric
Software: Illustrator 10 for the lineart, Photoshop 7.0 for the coloring
Time taken: 20 min: sketch / 1 h 25 min: lineart / 4-5 hours: coloring

Coloring took me much longer that it usually does... It is the first FMA fanart I've ever made, what's more, I decided not to copy the mangaka's style, but rather try something new.
Why did it turn out to be so... pink, I have no clue XD...

Ahhh omg!! You finished! *O*!! I looove the soft colors and the thin light outlines! That texturing is just sooo nice, too *_*;;... the hair is just beautiful and that desk looks like real wood @w@;. And the nice polished look of the text... ooo I wish I could do such things correctly ^^;.

I like the pink. The colored lighting really adds to the feel of the piece and gives it that sort of soft/warm-washed out look. The drawing is really good, year, but it's the coloring that really sticks out for me.
